The Adaptation Scotland programme provides advice and support to help organisations, businesses and communities prepare for, and build resilience to climate change impacts.

Adaptation support

The Adaptation Scotland programme provides advice and support to help Scotland be prepared and resilient to the effects of climate change. The programme is funded by the Scottish Government and has been delivered by Verture for more than a decade.

 

Through the programme, Verture helps the public sector, businesses, communities and third sector organisations to understand what climate change will mean across Scotland, to work together and take effective action.

 

The Adaptaiton Scotland programme develops tools, resources and projects that can help people and organisations explore climate impacts and adptation option in their place. It supports people to take leadership on adaptation in their sectors and places, inspiring action across the whole of society.

Community adaptation action

The Community Climate Adaptation Routemap helps you to explore how to build resilience and adapt to the changing climate whilst tackling other important issues in your community such as such as housing, getting around, and skills and employment.

Public sector leadership

The Public Sector Climate Adaptation Network brings together 65 public bodies in Scotland to collaborate on effective climate action, to benchmark their progress, and to identify and share learning on climate change adaptation.

Business resilience

Scottish businesses across all industries are being increasingly disrupted by extreme weather. The programme’s training and resources help businesses in Scotland prepare for extreme weather and increase their business resilience.
