Our approach

Calton Hill, Edinburgh

Our changing climate brings complex new challenges. People and organisations can’t make the progress we need to see while working in isolation. We must work together as a society, making decisions based on a combination of local knowledge, science and policy.

Verture uses the power of collaboration to grow flourishing futures for all in a changing climate. We bring people together to understand what climate change means for them, to co-create visions of a flourishing future and a fairer society while making communities more resilient, and to work together to get there.

We have an appetite to be bold and creative to achieve our vision. We facilitate change processes and we embed fairness and justice in everything we do.

Just resilience

We understand how climate disproportionately affects those who are already disadvantaged. We involve those whose voices too often go unheard. We address power imbalances in decision making.

Transformational change

Climate change can’t be addressed in isolation – it affects everything. A whole systems approach is needed. Adapting to climate change is an opportunity to create better places to live and a fairer society.

Facilitation

We have developed a trusted approach to facilitating events and processes, providing safe and creative spaces where people from diverse backgrounds can develop skills and confidence to experiment and lead.

Networks

Our strong networks bring in additional expertise and support innovation. We are embedded within a research and academic community as well as working closely with creative practitioners to bring about change.
