In November 2025, we attended the COP30 climate conference in Belem, the gateway to the Amazon in northern Brazil. It was an unforgettable week, with inspiration, frustration, and hope, all playing a part in what we saw.

 

Our aims in attending COP30 were simple enough:

 

1. Tell people about Creative Climate Futures, and the work we are doing in Glasgow.
2. Learn from other parts of the world – who is doing similar work? Who should we connect with?
3. Find out where adaptation and resilience sit on the global stage – are we leading, or following?
