Verture Wrapped 2025: a year of climate action, connection and creativity

If 2025 had a soundtrack, it would be Think of Today by RURA.

This year marked our first as Verture — a new name that carries meaning we wanted to reflect on as we close out 2025.

Verture comes from a Scots word meaning the joint in a straw closest to the ground — the point from which new growth begins. It speaks to our belief that change starts through connection, shared effort and strong foundations.

Think of Today carries that same feeling. It’s an upbeat Scottish instrumental, rooted in place but full of forward momentum. Without lyrics, it invites reflection, a reminder that progress is built step by step, through rhythm, collaboration and trust.

As we look ahead, the track captures exactly where we are, grounded in strong foundations, growing toward what’s next.

Instead of looking back only through spreadsheets and reports, we did something different. On our Christmas Staff Day, we brought everyone together around a live illustration, capturing the people, projects and moments that shaped Verture’s year in real time.

The result? A visual story of what climate resilience looks like when it’s built together.

Who we are (and why it matters)

Verture exists to help create a resilient and fair future for all. Climate change brings complex challenges, and we know no one can tackle them alone. Our work is about collaboration – bringing together lived experience, scientific evidence and policy expertise to address the root causes of climate vulnerability.

A year, illustrated

The live illustration tells the story better than words alone ever could.

The people – staff, partners, communities – who make the work real

From strategy launches to regional hubs, from policy work to place-based action, the illustration captures how interconnected this work really is. Climate resilience doesn’t happen in straight lines; it happens through networks, trust and shared effort.

Verture Wrapped isn’t just a celebration. It’s a reminder that progress is possible – and that it’s built together.
