About Creative Climate Futures

About Creative Climate Futures
Creative Climate Futures was a three-year project to support local climate action in Glasgow. The project was led by Verture in partnership with Culture for Climate Scotland, Community Land Scotland, Glasgow Climate Action Hub, the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network and Glasgow City Council.
The project had climate justice at its centre – recognising that our response to climate change must also tackle inequality and its underlying causes. Creative Climate Futures combined this approach with arts and creativity to help Glasgow neighbourhoods drive action to create the futures they want.
Our two pioneer neighbourhoods were chosen through an open expression of interest process. The two pioneer neighbourhoods for Creative Climate Futures were based in Easterhouse, and the Gorbals. You can read all about them here.

We hold firm our belief that the climate crisis is also a climate justice issue. To fully address both, we need to ensure local communities at grassroots level are at the heart of designing, developing and delivering solutions and change.
