About Creative Climate Futures

Creative Climate Futures is a project to support local climate action in Glasgow. The project is led by Verture in partnership with Culture for Climate Scotland, Community Land Scotland, Glasgow Climate Action Hub, the Scottish Communities Climate Action Network and Glasgow City Council. Sign up to the mailing list to keep up to date.

The project has climate justice at its centre – recognising that our response to climate change must also tackle inequality and its underlying causes. Creative Climate Futures combines this approach with arts and creativity to help Glasgow neighbourhoods drive action to create the futures they want.

Our two pioneer neighbourhoods were chosen through an open expression of interest process. The two pioneer neighbourhoods for Creative Climate Futures are based in Easterhouse, and the Gorbals. You can read all about them here. However, we would still invite organisations from across Glasgow to get involved with the project. To stay up to date with the latest project news, sign up to the Creative Climate Futures mailing list.

We hold firm our belief that the climate crisis is also a climate justice issue. To fully address both, we need to ensure local communities at grassroots level are at the heart of designing, developing and delivering solutions and change.
